Wedding Ring Experience Days

A chance for you and your loved one to create lasting memories

The best man holding the wedding rings made by our customers on their Wedding Experience day

The H.G.Bespoke 'Wedding Ring Experience' day is a full day spent at the bench in the Hatton Garden workshop, where the couple is guided through all of the main manufacturing processes to make each other's wedding bands.
Each day begins early with a meet-up for breakfast at a local cafe, and then moves on to the workshop itself. We will begin with a short but necessary workshop induction, where the health and safety aspects of your day with H.G are discussed.
As prearranged, we will then portion out the metal secured for your day and begin what is often a long but always enjoyable experience. You will achieve all of the initial manufacturing of your pieces during your day, but as a result of technical constraints anything like diamond setting, final polishing, and the all important hallmarking will take place once you have completed your day's task.
Your actual rings will need to be made in a choice of high carat gold (18ct and above) and from either White, Yellow, or Rose golds. If you wish you also have the option of Platinum. which is a very hard wearing material for anyone wanting a permanently white metal that does not require re-plating in the way 18ct White Gold does.

The actual wedding rings made by the customers.

We tend to stick to stick to simpler bands for the H.G Wedding Ring Experience day, purely because the skills learnt are suitable for a single day's work and have seemed to favour the abilities of most people who have booked over the years. On occasion, however, a more complicated piece may form a part of the couples suite of rings, such as a shaped band to fit around an engagement ring.
In the case of the above diamond set, shaped wedding band, a wax master was hand carved by H.G prior to the booked experience day. This was then cast using the lost wax process, in preparation for the days visit. When the couple arrived the gent then spent the day sizing, and refining the exact shape of the ring, so that if fit his fiance's finger and sat snuggly against her existing engagement ring. While he did not form the band initially, he had as demanding a task as his spouse on the bench next to him.

Tools set out to carve Memory Box as repository for over 400 images taken during the clients Wedding Ring Experience day.

During the day a large number of photographs will be taken, helping to document the couple's experience. Often there will be 300-400 images/videos, as H.G can get a bit snap-happy. Once you leave for the day, all of these images will be added (unedited) to a memory stick, that will be presented in a solid walnut box as a quality keepsake. While the box and memory stick themselves form a part of your days package, you can choose to add personalised runic carvings for an addition fee or leave plain if you prefer

H.G himself will carry out the finishing processes required for your pieces, such as diamond setting, polishing/texturing, and see to it that your pieces are sent to the London Assay Office for the addition of the legally required hallmarking or 'Assay' of your creations. This will include the application of the H.G.B makers mark.

Once completed, your finished rings, keepsake memory stick, and pair of H.G.B official seals can either be collected in person from the workshop, or shipped to your chosen address.
